Servings

Ingredients for 1

  • 50 ml mid-range vodka
  • 25 ml Kahlua coffee liqueur
  • 30 ml fresh moka-pot coffee , strong, cooled slightly
  • 10 ml sugar syrup
  • ice cubes , to shake
  • To serve
  • 3 coffee beans , to garnish

Method

  1. Brew a strong shot of coffee in a moka pot and let it cool for 3-4 minutes so it doesn't melt the ice too fast.
  2. Chill your coupe glass in the freezer while you prepare the rest.
  3. Combine the vodka, Kahlua, coffee and sugar syrup in a shaker filled with ice.
  4. Shake vigorously for 20-30 seconds to build a good foam.
  5. Double-strain into the chilled glass and float three coffee beans on top.
